Days 7-8: Low-key. Ahhhhh

We had a leisurely Wednesday in the greater Snowmass-Aspen area. The morning consisted of planning out the rest of the trip, making a few changes to our itinerary, booking hotels, Jenny devising menus and grocery lists, and the kids playing Monopoly and hide-and-seek around the house. We ventured into Aspen to walk around the shops and see the sights. As testament to how lovely the Snowmass house is and how much Danny loves his cousins, he would have preferred staying home to play Monopoly over going to Aspen.

The cousins went off to a rodeo with Billy and Jenny in the evening, while the Rowans stayed behind, dining at The Stew Pot, one of our old favorites from ski season BC (before children).

Earlier in the week we made the call to spend an extra day at John and Shannon's beautiful Snowmass home rather than camp for 2 nights in the 100-degree weather in Moab, Utah. As much as I adore Moab with all my heart, this was the best possible situation for our whole crew. So Thursday was spent doing laundry, packing up, cleaning up, and doing some last-minute shopping in Snowmass Village. 8-9 am target departure for Friday morning!
