Hiking in the Rockies

Lots to report on from the past two days.  We did some substantial hiking in Snowmass on day 5 and then headed into Aspen to try to tackle the Maroon Bells, but we were thwarted by the car seat rule requirements to take the bus.  So we bailed on the bells and went for a place outside of town on the way to independence pass called the grotto campground.  Pictures and updates below:

Hiking in Snowmass:

- After hiking we got to hold baby husky puppies.  This one was three days old:

- hiking in the Grotto camp ground area:

- our little independent hiker:

- the Snowmass Village area is super quiet because the summer season does not start until Friday so only a few places are actually open. Only the Stew Pot and a few other local favorites seemed to be open
