Delinquent Day 4: 580.7 miles, 2 dead deer, mountains!

Sunday morning on the road trip means we attended Mass in Kearney at Prince of Peace parish which meant a slightly later than normal start for our trek to Colorado. The church was huge and only 2 years old, but was located on W. 56th St, not E. 56th St., so we were about 15 minutes late. Oops. After mass, Greg found an awesome frisbee in a field outside the church, so the kids got to play for a while before we hopped in the car for many, many hours.

We powered through beautiful Nebraska and eastern Colorado for almost 4 hours before finally stopping in Sterling, Colorado for an hourlong lunch and frisbee break. Our first Rockies sighting happened just before 2pm. Another 4 hours through the mountains - literally, in some cases - and we finally made it to Snowmass where Bobby and Lauren greeted us at John and Shannon's beautiful home (major bonus: they were in the middle of making a ridiculously delicious dinner for these weary travelers.)

Those are mountains beyond that buggy windshield!

We have a few iDevices on this trip (*please note that 2 devices are for Jim's work, and 3 are old iPhones, including old work phones...)

Sleepy Mary. This was just before she requested that I close the sun roof because the glare was making it hard to watch Little Einsteins on the iPad.

We are here!

(Molly and Em were sitting at the kitchen counter. I was taking the picture from a dangerous perch on top of a stool.)
